The basic principle of the stretch forming is to apply the tangential tension while the profile is bent to overcome wrinkle instability on the inside and improve the stress distribution of cross section, reduces the springback and improves the shape accuracy. During the deformation process of the profile material, execute the radial tensile stress , ( execute stretch bending ) can reduce the stress difference between the inner and outer layers, therefore reducing the springback, improve the forming precision of parts.
According to different control methods, the bending can be divided into tension-controlled stretch forming and position-controlled mode.
When loading under the position mode, stretch forming directly control of the elongation of the profile by precisely controlling the movement trace of the jaw gripper, compared to the loading method under force control, by this way there is more superiority, high forming precision and higher consistency.
